With the coming of the record…
I am spending much of my time trying to decide how to promote and advertise it’s release. While there will be a CD release I would like to come up with some ideas for giveaways. I feel like it’d be a good way to get my listeners involved and knowing that they’re special. If anybody’s light bulbs light up feel free to share your idea with me I’d really appreciate it. I want to do one contest a week for the first month after it’s production!

New York
On Wednesday I left for New York around 3:30. I was headed to Long Island to record on my friend Zach Miller’s Debut Album! You can check out previous music Zach was involved in here … Also we recorded some roughs last year for a Songwriting class we took together and those can be heard here… AAAAnd if you’re still not satisfied you can listen to us playing live @ The Narrows Center for the Arts this past summer on MVY Radio Archives (click on Andrea Belanger 2010)
New York was a whole new experience for me, I got to watch so many talented musicians do their thing on Zach’s songs. Check them out Max Johnson, Zach Page & Ray Belli. All of them including Zach Miller were in The School of Rock All Stars. There are some videos of them on YouTube from a few years back! Check them out individually and I’m sure you’ll like what you find.
The song that I specifically trekked out for was “Hold Me to the Light.” We’ve got a really bad recording of it on the Two Fish myspace page.
I received a call yesterday that the saxophone player tracked yesterday morning and the album is FINISHED. I’ll post when we have the artwork all set and the CD has been sent out to be duplicated.
School begins again in 9 days! Yikes.

Catching Up…
So. Monday a horn player comes in and plays on the last unfinished song! DONE. Seriously… I know I’ve said it 5,000+ times but I really mean it now.

Spent time in the studio today. We went over what wrapping up the record will entail. We plan on finishing in the next two weeks. Again there are 9 songs finished. Some of them with impressive production… I can’t even get over how incredible they sound. Now that I’ve reached the final hour I’m sort of having second thoughts about the Cover Art. I’ll be up tonight working on a song for tomorrow when I head in again!

So! The Semester is OVER!!! WOOO!!! Butttt in a sense I’m getting right back down to the grind on the record.

I am very proud of it and think it i a great representation and reflection of who I am as a singer, songwriter and musician. I can’t wait for you to hear it!
